| I am a veteran of the rock scene of the 1960s and 70s and worked with rock bands in New Zealand, Australia and Europe between 1964 and 1973. The most notable of these bands was Fraternity, an Australian band that won the 1971 Battle of the Sounds and which featured the late Bon Scott on vocals. I dropped out of the rock scene and became a computer programmer in 1974. I had another go at the Australian rock scene in 1982-83 with a band called Diamond Cutter but my excessive lifestyle caught up with me and I suffered a breakdown in 1983. I got off the booze in 1984 and started back working as a guitarist part-time in 1988. I currently spend most of my time in my home studio in Hamilton, New Zealand, working on demos of my own songs and those of several other artists.
