On October 29th 2006, John Findlay performed two electrifying shows at Hugh's Room, one of Canada's premier concert venues-showcasing songs from FAIRPLAY. The nine piece band rocked the house for over 150 enthusiastic fans. Since then CD sales have been brisk & the band is gearing up for its next concert/DVD taping. Singer-songwriter, guitar whiz & pianist John Findlay has worked with numerous pop, blues & jazz luminaries including: Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Katrina and the Waves, Marc Jordan, Carlos Del Junco, Colin Linden, Rita Chiarelli, Georgie Fame, Snooky Prior, Sylvia Tyson, Cindy Church, Richard Carpenter & Carol Welsman. John hit the road paying his dues at age 15, playing blues, R&B, soul, funk & jazz. In 1976 he studied jazz piano, guitar, & arranging at the Berklee School of Music. John's latest self-produced CD, FAIRPLAY, is a classy mix of soul, blues & Nawlins style funk with inspired songs, featuring sultry & soulful vocals along side John's virtuous lead guitar, funky organ & piano.
