A golden period for music in my personal opinion, with concept albums, inner visions and musical freedom. Every track on this album is groundbreaking.
Beautiful soul music should sound like this. Thoughful lyrics, great vocals and a relentless bassline that just won’t leave you alone.
Nobody was doing what they were doing at the time they were doing it and with such ferocity. Intelligent hip-hop.
Efficient innovators of the highest order. Enough said.
So simple, so nice.
