| Nozzle offer up a hard-edged blend of anthemic rock and melodic British pop music. Nozzle was originally formed in 1995 by singer, guitarist and songwriter Dave Blomberg (ex-New Model Army) and consists of Dave on guitar & vocals, John Forrester on bass guitar and Joe Breban on drums. Nozzle's debut album Winter (2001) received very favourable reviews in such respected European Magazines as Metal Hammer, Zillo and Orkus. Winter was recorded, engineered and mixed by the band at their own studio and has been described by the press as a lush combination of rock guitars with a dynamic rhythm section, melodic vocals and dark, moody atmospheres. For Nozzle’s second album Twisted Vision, which was released in September 2004 on New Model Army’s label Attack Attack Records, the band wanted to capture the feel and energy of their live performances and so recorded the songs playing together live in the studio. It features Michael Dean on drums, John Forrester on bass and Toni Haimi, formerly of All About Eve on guitar. In keeping with the band’s DIY-mentality, Twisted Vision was recorded, engineered, mixed, mastered and produced by Nozzle at Flowermountain Studio in Devon. In September 2005, Nozzle signed to Warner Music Group’s label Cordless Recordings in the US and released two E.Ps. The Mystery E.P released in October 2005 and the Let Me Down E.P which was released in June 2006. The band also performed an acoustic set at the Cordless launch in New York. Since forming Nozzle have continued to tour Europe, appearing at festivals in Germany, Italy and on the main stage at the Beautiful Days festival in Devon. Nozzle recently opened for the band New Model Army at their Christmas show at the Astoria in London where they were favourably received by NMA’s 1,000 strong audience. Nozzle are currently putting the finishing touches to new material which they are planning to release in the spring of 2007 on their own label Flowermountain Records.
