Martin, Clive, Barry and Keith work together and got together musically during regular jam sessions at Keith's house where they cranked out crude cover versions of songs they grew up with e.g. Rolling Stones, Steely Dan, Hendrix, JJ Cale - got the picture? Martin and Clive wanted to write and record original songs at Martin's "home studio" and so Swimming Uphill was born. Barry has now brought his songs, voice and guitar to the party.
