The inhabitants of the upper valley Cuzco (Peru) resident since 1200 AD and subjugated an empire in the 15th century which finally includes South Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Northern Argentina up to the middle of Chile.
The INCA H.C. distributed this empire under his sons Haascar and Atakualpa. An heir controversy facilitated Spain's conquest in 1531 – 33. On the top of this strict tribal structured society stood a sacred Neler – the son of the sun. They worshipped numerous energies or gods that resided in the trees, sources, constellations etc. The composition as well as the striking instruments lean toward the South America character.
