Portland, OR area singer-songwriter-guitarist Kevin Wayne has performed live at various coffee houses and churches in Oregon and Washington. Whether performing at a place that sells latte's, in a church basement rocking the homeless, or at a public park or beach somewhere people are entertained, encouraged, and challenged to think. Kevin says of himself and his music:

"I've been playing guitar and writing songs since I was 16. I've done music in churches and some coffeehouses and coffeehouse/homeless meals, the latter of which are my favorite environment to play (no one is sitting there watching every move you make!) I have only played with a band on a few occasions. Actually, I never wanted to be a soloist...I would much prefer to be in a band. But it's hard to find people of like mind & who don't pigeonhole you as an artist. So, I struck out on my own, and that's the way it's been ever since...

"As far as the future goes... It'd be finishing up my debut CD, which has already turned into a 4 -year trek ... which makes me wonder how much spotainaeity will be left? But the songs will sell themselves, I'm pretty certain of that.

"Originally the CD was to be titled "Lived Like Strangers", but I have more recently changed to "The Rose of the Streets." I think that title will stick in the mind a bit more...

I have about 12- 14 tracks that I've been working on both in the studio and as home demos that I feel will make an album I can stand behind. I'm currently talking to a couple of different producers about it. We'll see what transpires form there.
